people say its fine, but assassins cant farm what they use to instead they got monks able to solo raptors now, rangers can solo D core farm...and mesmers can uw farm...all with shadowform and their primary attributes...even though sliver armor was "nerfed" to attack adjacent foes once like a freaking merry go round rangers are using whirling defenses to attack simultaneously adjacent to them bringing down enemies at the same time...while hiding from spells with SF...sins cant use whirling because its like 6 seconds...WTF?

mesmers use fast casting to reduce casting time and recharge time of 25 second rechargeing skills...like ether nightmare and CoP...

and monks can MQSC/whatever even better totally not using Spellbreaker because shadowform is a better version + reducses dmg by 5 for each assassin enchant.

what do sins get to do?...dagger spam...or flashing blades/UW/FoW...it gets boring honestly

((in other words...what can sins primarily use to combine with secondaries to farm the same things the others can or farm as much as the others can while THEY can combine THEIR primary att skills to SF and do just fine?)...nothing...cause the skill was never balanced correctly...why cant Anet make a comment on this thread about it?

I think assassin players who find the newest version of Shadow Farm restricts them should learn to adapt and overcome.

The development team at ArenaNet will never read this thread or any other here in Sardelac as they are forbidden to do so for legal reasons.

you forgot a poll answer of, "...this skill is disabled for 15 seconds." I would click that one. I think it is perfect the way it is now but needs to be disabled for 15 seconds. then it would be great. also, this has been discussed ad nauseum.

i hate how they nerfed assasins main if not only solo farm but just about every other profession can easily plus killed any ability for assasins to be in any main hard core areas aka: DoA, UW,Fow, Deep, Urgotz, and more

Right. How dare they try to balance the professions so that more than one class is desirable for groups?

Assassins are perfectly capable in all of those areas.

monks have SB, dervishes VOS and eles OF all skills which provide some sort of invincibillity and can only be used effectively by primary dervs,monks or eles. so y can sf be abused by almost all profs? either change its function or move to crit strikes

THANK U u put it into words i was unable to do so...this is the point...why allow them to do that? why not make it MINE NOT YOURS...YOU CANT HAVE TWO...IM TELLING MOMMY U HAVE 2 COOKIES INSTEAD!!! this is why im QQing...and its for a damn good reason...most professions already have their own"tank" skil why do others get to use more than that?

^This is also sad. SF was never imba (well maybe at May 22nd, 2008 update). Some of us were just too good at uwsc and fowsc. Others would just die and blame it on lag. Ah good times.

I felt it was beneath me to reply to this thread, but it seems I can ignore it no longer, so here goes:

The reason people don't give a damn is because the symbolic "cookie jar" has been in the hands of Assassins for ages, I'm sure almost everyone here can agree.

This doesn't mean I don't believe Shadow Form is "fixed" in it's current version, I would agree to a change along the lines of jazilla's suggestion.

got the gist of what you were saying.. but wow.. that took a minute. The cohertness of what u are trying to say isnt there.

and i like sf the way it is now. no more nerfs and no more buffs just let it sit in a dark corner for awhile

Isn't there still a bug where the user keeps getting -5 dmg reduction each time it reapplies an assassin enchantment??

Aww....primary assassins can't use SF the way they want to anymore...
Solution: instead of complaining about "Oh, the rangers and monks and mesmers can use it so well", just make one of those professions

I already forgot what you said in the last thread (probably very little), but this thread seemed to reveal to me that your problem is that big daddy ANet took your giant LEGO tower that you had to yourself and broke it into pieces so that all the children in the family could play with it. You're jealous of everyone else and would rather have them tossed the LEGOs in the bin than share the joy.

Metaphor aside, it's too bad that your favorite farming builds/profession got what was probably its chief farming skill changed around. However, unless you've got some compelling argument for why it is detrimental to the game in its current state or was better before the change, a clear and definite suggestion for what it should be turned into and why, and a large playerbase that can make a big fuss about the issue with you, then you have to realize that ANet has essentially moved on from the Shadow Form issue, and they don't have a lot of reason to pay focused attention to it now anymore than they already have. They will probably only look back on it to make sure that they don't have a similar situation/build crop up with future updates, like with the Dervish now.
